#51 I broke up with you to focus on the band. The band fell through and now I miss you.
Daniel Grove Dilsean, born July 24th, 1986 - just two years older than his sister. As he grew up he didn't much get along with his father, but he's still a family kind of person and has always been close to his younger sister and his mom - they mean more to him than anything. After his parents got a divorce he was more than willing, and happy to, move to New York City with his mom and sister, from Marana, Arizona. Which is where he's been living since the age of about 17 or so.
When Daniel was 18 he got a phone call from a friend from back home that Daniel's best friend had died of an overdose. The friend that died had been one that Daniel had always gotten high and drunk with over the weekends and it came as nothing far from a shock. Paying his own way he flew back to his hometown from New York to attend the funeral and pay his last respects. From that day forth Daniel has declared himself as straight edge, after seeing how much pain his friend's death had caused his family and obviously his friends. He hasn't touched a drug or drink since the night that he left after the funeral and never plans to.
While Daniel is edge he doesn't exactly live by one of the rules, the whole idea of no sex. However he's not a slut either, like many bi or gay guys get the label of being. He won't just sleep with anyone, according to him he has to be in some kind of relationship to do that, including with girls or boys. In the past year he's slept with two people, his ex-boyfriend and his current girlfriend, with no one night standsin between. So in someways he still does respect all three of the 'X's. He sees going out and wasting a night completely plastered, only to not remember the next morning, a completely ridiculous idea.
Even though Daniel is edge, he doesn't ever hold it against people that aren't, he's the kind of person that will always respect other people's decisions. The only reason that he'll ever decline going out to clubs or parties is that he hates seeing those close to him drink themselves away, but if he disrespected their own beliefs he'd be disrespecting his deceased best friend and all of his friends back home and he knows it. His last serious relationship was with someone who did drink and smoke and while he didn't really like the kisses that tasted like cigarettes, he never gave his ex-boyfriend a hard time about it.
Because of the way that his father treated him and his family Daniel has a hard time really accepting new people into his life. Or at least he figures his trust issues have to spring from something, so he's landed on the idea that it's because of his father. Daniel is a 'forgive, but never forget' sort of person and if you screw him over he'll completely abandon you, until you apologize and he'll easily accept. Keep in mind that Daniel won't forget that you hurt him and he will throw it back into someones face if they hurt him a second time. He understands that people make mistakes, but big things (especially stabbing him in the back) he'll never completely let one live down.
Once Daniel moved to New York City, he met up with a few guys in high school and within no time he was best friends with a small group of guys and gals. Around 19 or so Daniel and a few of his friends formed a hardcore band, 'A Plane Crash From London' that Daniel did vocals for. He gave everything up for the band, to focus solely on his music, because that had always been what he wanted out of life. He ended up breaking up with his boyfriend who he'd been in a very serious relationship with, so he could devote all of his time to his music. It's been six months since his break-up and by this point the band has called it quits after a short somewhat successful run around the local area and Daniel knows how big of a mistake he made by breaking up.
After the band broke up Daniel fell back on his second "passion". Body modifications. While in the band he had devoted his time to his music and to working at Color Bomb Tattoos, he's just finished his apprenticeship a few months ago and is now tattooing full time since the band has broken up. Since he was young he's been screwing up with his own body, stretching his ears, piercing his lip and nose, since he was 15 he's been convincing his friends to pierce him. Currently his ears are stretched to 2 inches and he's decided to finally stop, with double nostrils stretched to a 10g and 14g snakebites.
